Chevron Left Overs

This card was made from the left-overs from the previous chevron. The side of the card was where the chevron strip was cut. The triangles are from the cut outs from the chevron. The cardstock is Swiss Dots by Bazzill and the paper is Basic Grey.

Chevron Layout

The top Chevron was made the same way as a previous one with the patterned paper cut to fit smaller than the Chevron. Notice the shape that forms at the top.
The Chevron on the bottom has a smaller width on one side than the  other side.

I have to find some photos to suit the page. The paper is Basic Grey and it goes well with the Chevron shapes.

Chevron and Bunting Layout

This layout I have done for a class this weekend using the Chevron strips and bunting. The bunting depicts the bunting across the pool and the colours are the lane divides. The circles also represent the balls on the lane divides. This was Jessica's swimming carnival earlier this year.

Notice the placement of the Chevron strips makes heart shapes along the top of the layout.

Chevron Layout

This layout I cut the chevron strip but then make a template slightly smaller for each section. Hint, make sure when you cut the patterned paper out you have the template facing the correct direction.

Chevron Card

Another use for the Chevron strips. Ideal for a male card that so many people have trouble making.

Chevron Pattern Layout

This shows the template I made and the paper I cut the Chevron pattern from.

This layout shows 3 different sized Chevrons. I used one of them as the arrow and the triangle that was cut out of the paper when making the Chevron is the head of the arrow. No wastage involved.

Chevron Pattern

I cut a piece of cardstock 2 inches x 12inches.Then scored along the centre at 1 inch.

I then scored every 2inch along the 12 inch length. Then drew lines from top to bottom of each line. This forms a zig zag along which you cut.

These are the templates I made out of cereal boxes for different sizes of Chevrons.I can use these by tracing them onto paper or cardstock to save me time using my Scor-pal each time.

Notice these chevrons have different sizes on each turn.

This is the website that I was inspired to make my own and you will see as the days go by how many I have done. I love them. So thank you Melissa Craig for your inspiration that got my creative juices flowing.
